In the world of the near future, no one is allowed to be alone. Loneliness raises unnecessary noise. In accordance with the recommendation of city authorities (The City), alone get to the hotel. A place where meet other singles. It is here that within 45 days they should find a partner. If they fail to find love in the form of animals will go to the forest. There, they will have to fight for survival.

The film was nominated for an Oscar ( "Dogtooth") of the Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos has been awarded the prestigious prize of the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Absurdalizm i dehumanizacja społeczeństwa. Ale nawet nieźle zrobiony film. Ma coś w sobie z Lema. Polecam. 6-6,5/10

genialne, fantastyczne, głębokie i poruszające osobiste struny "antykino",nie dla wszystkich, takie, które trzeba oglądać na innym levelu znaczeniowym, alegoryczne, przerysowujące w pozornie zakrawającej na groteskę i absurd konwencji to, czym właściwie niemal już stały się damsko męskie relacje i proces ich budowania. Świat związków, "doskonale" dobranych par contra świat samotników, (tu więcej nie zdradzę, niech każdy z Was sam przyjrzy się ukazanym w filmie mechanizmom i zasadom w nich panującym) Gorąco polecam LOBSTER'a. Zaskakująco jak dla mnie dobry Colin Farrell, za którym osobiście nie przepadam, jak zawsze dobra Rachel Weisz, a i reszcie aktorów należą się brawa.

Bardzo brutalny i dziwny. Można mieć po nim tylko koszmary. Absolutnie nie polecam.
